TheĀ City of Melbourne Highland Pipe Band is the largest community pipe bands in Australia, with around fifty pipers and thirty drummers. As well as taking part in wide range of corporate and community events, the band is strongly competitive, currently fielding three contest bands - in grades 2, 4A and 4B. Our members range in age from ten to seventy years, and represent an extremely broad cross section of the community. About half the band are women.
